Founder Lagundo Sandoval joined longtime Las Vegas broadcaster Jason Feinberg on More Fox 5 Las Vegas to talk about live-music interpreting, Deaf access, and the stagecraft behind interpreting in performance settings. The conversation itself included live ASL interpreting on screen by Lagundo’s brother, Vincent Sandoval, putting communication access into practice while they talked about it. See it for yourself.

Guest Experiences

In their words.

What guests and community members have told us about experiencing the work firsthand.

“A proud CODA (and a Moreno Valley native to boot) and a new Vegas interpreter agency owner, Lagundo absolutely went all out this past weekend. His interpreting wasn’t just electric, it was on another level of energy, skill, and connection.”
Dr. Nate DutraDeaf professor of Deaf Studies and ASL education, California State University, Sacramento
“The interpreters did a phenomenal job throughout the show. Their professionalism, timing, and ability to capture the humor and energy of the performance made the experience incredibly enjoyable. This was one of the first times I was able to fully experience a show like this in such an accessible and seamless way, and it truly meant a lot to me.”

The Short Version

Copy, paste, publish.

Lagundo ASL Services is a Deaf-led, CODA-founded, veteran-owned American Sign Language interpreting and accessibility company founded in Las Vegas and serving nationwide. Co-founded by Deaf entrepreneur Eduardo Sesma and CODA interpreter and performing artist Lagundo Sandoval, LAS provides professional ASL interpreting for live events, performances, conferences, corporate programs, and other experiences, alongside Deaf-centered services and accessibility support. Guided by the belief that “accessibility is art,” LAS combines professional interpreting, preparation, Deaf cultural perspective, and hospitality to help organizations build communication access into the experience from the beginning.

The Story

Why it’s a story worth telling.

  • Accessibility is art. LAS approaches communication access as a craft. In live settings, interpreting requires preparation, timing, stage awareness, language skill, and an understanding of how the room moves. 'Accessibility is art' is the company's shorthand for bringing that level of intention to the work.
  • Deaf leadership at the top. Deaf leadership has real decision-making authority at LAS. Co-founder and COO Eduardo Sesma brings Deaf lived experience directly into the company's standards, service design, and direction, so Deaf perspective is present inside the decisions rather than added afterward.
  • The night it began. LAS began after Eduardo attended a Las Vegas show and experienced how dramatically preparation, timing, and stagecraft could change his connection to a live performance. That night led to a simple question between a Deaf entrepreneur and a CODA interpreter: if access could feel this considered, how could they help make that level of care more repeatable? LAS grew from the answer.
  • Las Vegas-born. National reach. LAS was founded in Las Vegas, a city built on live entertainment, hospitality, conventions, residencies, and large-scale experiences. That environment shaped the company's standards. Today LAS coordinates interpreting and accessibility services in Las Vegas and nationwide.
